Module 7:
Plants & Pollen

After completing this module, you will be knowledgeable about:

  • Have a rudimentary understanding of basic plant anatomy and function;
  • Be able to correctly identify the reproductive parts of a plant;
  • Be able to discuss strategies for pollination, including development of specific plant structures;
  • Be able to describe the importance of diversity within a plant community;
  • Have a basic understanding of plant succession and how plant communities form over time;
  • Be able to develop basic data collection strategies for pollination frequency and plant cover in a given area;
  • Begin exploring the impacts of invasive weedy species.

Upon completing this module, you will have all the information and tools you need to create your own activities and lesson plans.
